I'm wondering if anyone figured out a way to get Turbotax 2025 to install on Windows 10? I'm not planning on buying a new PC, and I definitely am not doing my taxes online.

No. Some have suggested using a VM while others have suggested using a hack to upgrade to Windows 11, but there's no way to get TurboTax to run on Windows 10.
Well that's a shame as I've been using TurboTax for probably the last 25 years, but I guess I'll have to switch. Not sure what the rationale behind not supporting what google says is "~1 billion windows 10 computers still in use as of late 2025", and hopefully the company will figure this out based loss of sales...

They don't really care since the amount of gross revenue and profit is dwarfed by that of their online sales and services and their other profit centers.
Microsoft has stopped support for Windows 10 as of October 2025. This means that they will no longer provide updates, including important security updates, for that OS. Because of this, many software vendors no longer support Windows 10.
If your computer supports Windows 11 (see here), you should upgrade.
Actually this is totally incorrect. Microsoft extended support until October 2026 for most Windows 10 users. And I expect they may go even further as nobody wants Windows 11 adware.

Not surprisingly, you're the one who is incorrect.
As of March 2026, Windows 11 has over 67% of the desktop market v Windows 10 at roughly 31%. What's worse (for Windows 10 fans) is that the userbase of Windows 10 has been declining steadily and the decline has been increasing more rapidly.
By the middle of this year, you're likely to see a speedy decline and the OS will probably go over the edge in the September-October time frame. It's a distinct possibility that no tax prep software provider will support Windows 10 for the 2026 tax year. Good luck with that.
even lower for Turbotax purposes we don't care globally - Win 10 share down to 21% in the US

Yeah, it's pretty much toast for the 2026 tax year. People need to move on if they want to use desktop tax prep software.
