When you start a new tax return using the desktop editions you can transfer the 2021 tax data file to the 2022 tax return.  Assuming you have the 2021 tax data file on the computer with the 2022 TurboTax software installed.

You should have transferred your 2021 tax data file in to the 2022 software before you began to enter any 2022 information.  You cannot transfer data in after you already start the new return.

You might need to start over.
