Is there a way to unfile my taxes this year if they have yet to be mailed or efiled (only filed and ready to be mailed)?

First, be sure I understand your question correctly.

Have you finished a TurboTax return, but have NOT actually filed it at all?  i.e., you have not printed and mailed it, and you have not efiled it?

If that's the case, and you haven't mailed or efiled, then your return has not been filed.   You are not obligated to file it with TurboTax if you don't wish to.

If you haven't paid or registered you can clear it out if you wish.   But it won't let you clear it if you paid or registered. Here's how:

I went back and apparently I registered so I cannot clear and start over. Does this mean I HAVE to mail it? I had no income this year and I’m being claimed as a dependent and was advised to just not file this year, but had already started it. Not sure what to do at this point?

Based on what you said above, your return has NOT been filed.  Just don't file it if you don't want to.

No one can force you to mail or efile the return if you don't want to.   The decision is up to  YOU.   If you don't want to use TurboTax to actually file the return, you don't have to.   But since you registered, you can't clear the info from your account.

Merely trying out TurboTax and preparing a return does not mean you have to submit it.
