Is there a way to transfer the desktop return for the CURRENT year to the online version

I started working on the desktop app of TT,  but later decided to move online.

While I know there's a way to import the Last year's return file onto the portal, I was wondering if I can do the same with this year's return saved so far on the desktop.

I tried to import the checkpointed state of the current year's return from my desktop, but it didn't work.

There is no way to transfer a desktop return to TurboTax Online for the same year.

That's a super bummer :( 

Why is this bidirectional sync not supported?

The online->desktop sync is supported as you can checkpoint your work online and import the current state onto the desktop app.

Come one TT. Please bring about some innovations and build this feature.
