Is there a ware to efile a return from last year? Seems that the submit efile button was not clicked

Helping my son with his taxes (he is the US Army).  He has been using TurboTax since 2016, but last year it seems he did not hit the efile submit button.  Looking at his account, it shows that his 2017 taxes were done and under the Return Status line, it shows started.  

If there a way to efile this return or will I need to print out the return and mail it in?

That's what I thought.  His return was already completed, he just forgot to hit the efile submission button.  So we have downloaded the PDF (also have the .tax file) so all we have to do is actually print it out, sign it and mail it it.  He only had to do a 1040EZ
