Additionally, you might try a simple password like 123456789 to test if it is what you are using as a password.
Personally I have never used the TurboTax password. I created a Mac password protected and encrypted sparseimage using Disk Utility where I store all my TurboTax tax files and other tax information then I only have one file and password for all tax information that is backed up on external drives.
This is a problem with your device. Change your password on a computer using Chrome browser. Clear all browser data before changing the password.
I am on MAC running 12.0.1 Monterey. Do not use Chrome, just Safari.
Did clear my browser turned off my virus checker and still no luck.
This is running on my iMac not using your site at the moment.
Works fine for me. Are you using File->Encrypt And enter the password twice?
Yes, I am. I do have my device data encrypted on my iMac also.
Since my Mac cannot run Monterey, I can only suggest contacting support and escalating to a Mac tech support (The phone agents can help with tax issues but little Mac knowledge) and Monterey is very new.

One thing I thought of that might be happening ..IF.. you are using words or a phrase as your passwd. IF certain autocorrect functions are turned on, your computer might be separating your words with spaces as you leave the box.

Yes I tried the simple 1-9 and no still have the same problem. Believe it has to do with the OS level I am running.
Since both my iMac and backup are encrypted I will not use the password for the file. I have enough encryption to feel comfortable. Thank you all for your suggestions.
Did I setup correctly a username and a password to file my data with turbo tax?
Yes I think so
