Is there a CD available with the 2025 Premier Edition?

I like to keep a CD of the years' taxes for later reference. Does Turbo Tax provide that option for 2025? Or must i download all of the software and store my taxes on-line?

There is no CD for 2025.   But when you use the desktop download, your tax return is never stored online.   It is only stored on the hard drive of your PC or Mac, or on any backup device you use like a flash drive.  It was not ever stored on the install CD's you were using.

also be aware Turbotax stops supporting the s/w (current tax year + 3 prior versions i.e. currently 2022-5 are supported) so even if you had the s/w you won't be able to activate it again if not already installed somewhere

be sure to save PDF with all forms and worksheets as your reference copy and don't rely on the old .tax files and s/w.

Have you been using the Desktop program?  Your tax return is not kept in the program but saved in a separate file ending in .tax2024, .tax2023 etc.   After you file you should be saving your return as both the .tax2024 file and a pdf file to your computer and make backups.   Even if you use the Online version you should save both files to your computer.    

Don’t confuse the download program with the online version.   The download is the same as the CD.  It’s just the way you use to install the program.   Your downloads are stored in your Online account so if you need to reinstall them.   But Turbo Tax only supports the last 3 years so even if you have the CD you can’t install, activate  or get updates for 2021 and prior.
