Is the tax return on turbo tax automatically send the federal and the state taxes ?

my 2020 shows I filed federal and state. I just got notice that the state 2019 did not get filed. Not sure how this is so . How do I go back in to file 2019 state?

If your 2019 state return was somehow not filed, or was rejected, the only way to file it now is to print it, sign it and mail it. E-filing is closed for 2019.

Check back though your emails if you kept them. When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
