Hi sdbloomfield, You can access the questions regarding repaying the first time homebuyer credit by doing the following:

  1. Click Federal on the left side
  2. Click Deductions & Credits at the top
  3. In the Your Home section, click Start (or Revisit) next to Homebuyer Credit Repayment.

Is the homebuyer credit repayment function working? Not prompting me to enter a payment.

When I click "Yes, but the home i received the credit for stopped being my main home on or before December 31, 2017", and then continue there is no option to make a payment and it brings me right back to "Deductions & Credits".

If you sold the home or stopped using it as your main home in 2017 (or before),  you should have reported the sale (or change in residence) in the year when it changed/sold and repayed the credit (if necessary) with that year's tax return. Once the credit is repayed you no longer need to report it on your return - that's why its just taking you back to Deductions & Credits.
