I myself am not really familiar with it. It's most likely a promotion to get you into Credit Karma. You won't need it to track your return. You can track it at the IRS or state websites. If it was me, I wouldn't do it, especially if you can continue on without it.
Or are you involved with Credit Karma in another way? Are you using a refund method that uses a Credit Karma account? If so, I think it asks you to share your TurboTax information with Credit Karma, so that may be why I declined it, but I can't remember for sure. Without seeing it, it's hard to guess what all you are being presented about Credit Karma and why.

What is TurboTax charging you for? Have you already paid? Did you have to move up from Free Edition to Deluxe because of something in your return? If you don't need Deluxe, we may be able to tell you how to downgrade or remove something as long as you haven't yet paid.
However, did you already efile? You mentioned the word "accepted." What does that refer to? If that refers to your efile, you should be able to see the efile status at the Tax Home. Or have you not yet submitted the return?? It's not clear from what you wrote.
