Is it possible on turbo tax on line to figure if it is better to file married filing jointly or married filing separately. How to 3 separate returns for comparison sake?

To do this online, you would need to create three separate TurboTax accounts, and depending upon the forms that are needed for the returns, you may need to pay for the software three times.  TurboTax recommends you purchase a CD/Download version of the software as you can create the three returns and only pay once for the software. 

Also note that, generally, filing jointly will give you a bigger refund or less taxes due. When you file separately, your tax rate is higher and you won't be able to claim certain deductions and credits only available on a joint return.
