Yes, that is to be expected when using the "Online" software.

With the Online software.......

1) Federal Prep and filing is one charge.

2) State prep and filing is separate $$.   Some states don't have an income tax so they don't get charged for something they can't use..

3)   NEVER pay for your software with your Fed refund.....that's an extra fee to run the fee thru a 3rd party bank.  Never ever do that.  Pay with a Credit Card
