Is "Expert Assist Premium" for 199 required if sold stocks?

I am being told "To accurately complete your taxes, you need to upgrade to TurboTax Expert Assist Premium"

"Why do I need to upgrade?

You sold stock, bonds, or mutal funds."

Google claims there is a premium service WITHOUT the "expert assist" option for only 129, but I don't see how to select it.

Is google mistaken or is 199 the MINIMUM we all have to pay assuming we sold stock in 2025?

"Am being told" by whom? I don't think TurboTax is telling you that. Get information about TurboTax products and prices from the TurboTax website, not from Google or AI.

Are you using TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop? Certainly Online Premium or Desktop Premier will let you enter stock sales without expert assist.

I'm using the website. TT is telling me this, after I "downgraded" and tried to continue filing. I just checked on another browser (new signup) and there IS a 129 option without expert assist. However on my active session I am at the billing page and see no option to remove the expert assist (which i never used or asked for).

During the whole process, every time it asked if i wanted to "upgrade" or add "max" i always said no. Did I somehow get duped into selecting the "expert assist" and now I have to pay the extra 70 (or start over from scratch)?
