IRS says wife's SS Number is incorrect. It is correct and is same number we have always used. Also same as on her year end SS statement. Now what???

IRS says wife's SS Number is incorrect. It is correct and is same number we have always used. Also same as on her year end SS statement. Now what???

First call the IRS to see if they can correct the error: 800-829-1040 [7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time]

If not, then print and mail in your return.
