All is really said in initial question. I don't have copy of 2017 MFJ from my ex-husband. TT said to try zero, which I did, but IRS rejected return. Seems, as much as I want to file electronically, I will have to file Paper.

That tax returns belongs to you as much as it belongs to your ex-husband. It is a good idea to have a copy for your records.
