If the 2017 return was filed real late in the year, such as November 2018 or later, you can try an AGI of 0 (zero).
Be sure you are using the AGI from the original 2017 return, not an amended one.
If a joint return, both spouses use the same total AGI. Do not divide or allocate it.

If you're eligible to open the free account there, you can download one right away. If you don't qualify to open an IRS account, you can order one to come by postal mail, which normally takes 5-10 calendar days.
