I'm still perplexed by the delay in the inclusion of the Form 8853 for my tax submission. You are saying that even though the form is available from the IRS website TurboTax(TT) cannot use this form until TT secures approval from the IRS to use the Form 8853 in their software. Is this correct?
In other words I cannot complete my return until March 31, 2022...at the earliest, correct?
If true this makes no sense to me. Why would it take so long to approve the inclusion of a form that is available today from the IRS platform. Really another example of bureaucracy in action.

In general, the IRS (and States, as applicable) must approve TT's version (programming) of its forms before TT can release them. Some of these take longer than others.
