Internet say 8606 T is ready but Turbotax says it isn't ready until 2-15-2018. Would like to file asap please share why 8606 isn't ready on Turbo.Should I go elsewhere?"

The fact that the forms are available on IRS website has nothing to do with any tax software program.  The forms are available if you are going to download to complete on your own.  However, e-filing is different.  Once the form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded into the special language the software uses and has to be thoroughly tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability.  IRS then has to approve it for e-file.  It always takes a little longer for a form to become available for e-file in a software program.  I hope this helps you understand the situation.

Helpful response, however, believe availability has something to do with a tax software program, to say it has nothing to do with a software program seems like a bit of a stretch.  Can see where it takes additional time, so agree with that; seems like it would be a priority to push it out asap, but tax system is quite complicated, so do understand some delay.  Just so much info out there on filing early, so it puts pressure on the filer.
