Interest Paid to Me By the IRS

The IRS paid me $4.24 in interest in 2024.  However, they didn't send me a 1099-INT.

1. Why didn't they send me a 1099-INT?

2. In TurboTax H&B, where do I report the $4.24?

Please advise.  Many thanks.

Institutions are not required to send a 1099-INT for interest under $10.

You do not need a 1099-INT paper statement to enter the value

You can [Edit] the 1099- DIV / INT by following these steps.

Under Federal

  1. Select Wages & Income
  2. Scroll to Investments and Savings (1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-K, Crypto)
  3. Click Add/Edit
  4. Complete the 1099-INT section
  5. Only box 1and possibly State information will have to be entered
