Yes, since you are still legally married then you have the option of filing as married filing jointly or married filing separately.

Thank you so much for responding.  Can I file on Turbo Tax here? Filing Separately? My soon to be EX is in Thailand for about 3 months but he always was late or never paid the taxes. I don't want to be responsible for his irresponsibility anymore. If you run my social security you will see I don't make an income.I have one W2 for $1300 for the year.

Thank you

Yolanda

@yoli2k2k TurboTax cannot "run" your Social Security number and see anything at all about you.  No one has access to one bit of your information. You do not mention how you got the $1300 of income--- do you have a W-2 or were you some kind of independent contractor?  Was any tax withheld from the income?

Use Free File:

You qualify if your income was $36,000 or less, or $69,000 or less if active duty military, or if you qualify for Earned Income Credit

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900583-what-is-turbotax-free-file-program

If you switch to Free File you must create a new account and new user ID.

Note:  If you do not qualify to use Free File then you will have to upgrade to Deluxe or higher in the paid versions of the software.

Online Deluxe $60  State software $50

Or—-Use this IRS site for other ways to file for free
