In tax year 2016, I was a 1099 employee for one month and W2 for the other 11 months. What version of Turbo Tax do I use? Thanks.

The version of TurboTax Online you need to use depends upon whether or not you have expenses to deduct related to your 1099-Income. If you have expenses related to that income, you will have to use TurboTax Self-Employed. If you don't have any business expenses you can start in the Deluxe version. If your situation requires you to upgrade, the program prompt you and you upgrade while working on your return.
If you start in Self-Employed and later want to "downgrade" you will have to "clear & start over
