It is in state of Utah, but it is an error in the Fed tax as well. I can't e-file, which is the point of using online filing. I have filed with turbo tax for over 10 years. This is the first time with problems. I need my tax return reset and refunded so I can start over.
thanks,
Paul
State ID will be on your forms, maybe a w2 with UT state tax withheld or some other form where UT tax was withheld. Please check all of your forms against what the program says along with state rules. From Income Tax Withholding - Utah Income Taxes - Utah.gov:
For payer ID: The Utah withholding account number is a 14-character number. The first eleven characters are numeric and the last three are “wth.” Do not enter hyphens. Example: 12345678901wth. The program wants lower case for wth. Contact the employer or payer of the income to get the Utah ID number.
If there is no state withholding, you can delete the entire state line.
I just rechecked after over 2 weeks and the bugs seemed to be fixed. Unfortunately I do not want to file at this time due to the errors that were previously not fixed. The software said I had 3 errors, I was able to fix one of them but the other 2 I was not able to fix(nothing was wrong, all the data was accurate).. Also every time I temporarily fixed the one error, It would come back up as an error again.
I wish for a refund at this time and will not be filing. The software charged me prior to having all the errors fixed. I could not file when I was charged. Please refund and clear out the data if you would like.
thanks
