Very sorry for the loss of your husband. If you are now filing as single, then you really should start over in a new account with a new user ID. It is too difficult to remove all of the information from an account that was used for a joint return; there will be data from that previous joint return and account that will transfer over and that might then cause you to get error messages. Establish another account with just your name on it. And sadly, it does mean starting from scratch for yourself because you cannot transfer your own information in. Sorry.
