Am trying to add expenses for self employed (uber). The site allowed to type in the income gross but doesnt let me access the add income expenses

In order to prepare Schedule C to report the income and expense from Uber, you should be using Turbo Tax Self-Employed version. You can get that by clicking here: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

The Self-Employed version will help you report your income and expenses along with your other tac documents.

if you work little time with uber or lift for example, and so did little money with it, just report your gross income with the free turbo tax option, you don't need to report your expenses if you didn't expend        10 000 S or more because you don't qualify to do the itemized deduction. (also you will have to show proof).
