In form 2210, my entry for 6/15 estimated tax is not added to last year's over payment in the 7/15 column. I should not owe a penalty. Should I delete the 2210 form?

Box 11a on form 2210 should include 6/15 payment, but it only shows last year's refund.

You are correct.  The Form 2210 will be available for use on February 17th.  Using this form can reduce or eliminate any underpayment penalty if you meet the necessary criteria.

Who Must Pay the Underpayment Penalty

In general, you may owe the penalty for 2021 if the total of your withholding and timely estimated tax payments didn't equal at least the smaller of:

1. 90% of your 2021 tax, or

2. 100% of your 2020 tax. Your 2020 tax return must cover a 12-month period.

NOTE: Higher income taxpayers.

If your adjusted gross income (AGI) for 2020 was more than $150,000 ($75,000 if your 2020 filing status was married filing separately), substitute 110% for 100% in (2) above.

You can use the following links to make sure you have all the necessary information entered (estimated payments and withholdings will be included).

  1.  Where do I enter my estimated tax payments?
  2. How do I add Form 2210?

Duh! Didn't register that it's the 2020 form.  Will wait for the updated 2021.
