There has never been a credit for Head of Household.
Head of Household (HOH) is a Filing Status. For 2018, the Standard Deduction for HOH filers is $18,000. This means that if you qualify for the HOH Filing Status and are using the Standard Deduction, you get to reduce your taxable income by $18,000.
To use the HOH filing status, you must have provided over half the cost to run your home for you and a Qualifying Child. Please check out this TurboTax FAQ for a complete description of the requirements you must meet for the HOH filing status: Do I Qualify for HOH?
