In 2025 Turbo Tax Online Federal Deluxe, How do I Record Tax Payments (both Federal and State) for TY2024, which were submitted along with My Extension in April 2025?
I'm using Turbo Tax Online this year for the first time and cannot find an equivalent form to the Tax Payments and Tax Payments Worksheet forms that were used in the Desktop version of TurboTax Deluxe.
I believe that recording these payments for TY 2024 are essential information that is needed to appear on my 2025 Tax Return, but finding a place to enter them in the TurboTax Online version so far has eluded me.

All 2024 federal tax payments you made in 2025 only go on your 2024 tax return, not on 2025. You can only enter and deduct state tax payments for 2024 made in 2025 as an itemized deduction.
Follow these navigating instructions to enter your federal and state estimated payments made during tax year 2025:
If you made estimated or quarterly tax payments in 2025 toward your federal, state, or local taxes, enter them in the Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid section.
- Navigate to the estimated tax payments section:
- TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to estimated tax payments (< click here) under Deductions & credits in the Federal section.
- Select Start or Revisit next to the type of estimated tax payment you'd like to enter under Estimated Tax Payments.
- Enter the amount of estimated tax you paid at each of the quarterly due dates.
- If you paid 2025 estimated taxes in 2025, you'll enter just one amount for each state or locality.

Edit: An extension payment made timely by the 2024 tax deadline of April 15th 2025 will already have been reflected in your final 2024 tax return, and should not be recorded again this year against your 2025 tax liability.
1) You can review your tax payment receipts to verify what was sent in as an extension versus an estimated payment and for which tax period(s).
2) Follow the prompts carefully in the Estimated Tax Payments portion of the program, and ensure that your details are entered accurately, to prevent delays in processing or rejection by the taxing authorities.

Also were you able to transfer your 2024 Desktop return into Online to start 2025? You should have.
Transferring my 2024 Return into 2025 Turbotax Online was my greatest challenge. Your second reply to my message/question was indeed the reason I posted my question. Thanks to your comment, I realized that I had to find a way to import my Desktop Edition 2024 Return into the Online version for 2025. With no clear guidance instructions from Intuit on how to do this, I once again resorted to asking the TurboTax Community how to accomplish this. I received an answer very quickly, which steered me into the left column of the online program where it says "Tools." In the Tools section I thankfully found a hierarchy of listings that guided me to where I could transfer the 2024 Return. Once the transfer was implemented, I was able to find and have entered all of the payment issues required for me to complete my Return for this year. Thanks for your help.
