In 2017 I was self-employed for a small amount of time. I made $336. Do I have to report these earnings when I file my taxes?

Yes, you must always report earnings from Self-Employment no matter the amount. However, you will not be assessed Social Security and Medicare taxes on an amount that low.

Hi Coleen, thank you for answering my question so fast! Further question- do I have to fill out the specific "self-employed online tax filing" or, can i fill out one of the EZ forms since the amount was so low?
