Im trying to start a different tax return on this same account but for a different person. It keeps telling me to click file and than new return but I see that no where

the page i see now just has the previous tax return refund amount from my family member that did their returns before me

The TurboTax online editions can only be used for one tax return per account and User ID.  If you want to start another tax return using the online editions you will need to create a new account, a new User ID and a new email address.

If you are using TurboTax Online, you will not be able to start a second person's return in the same account. You will have to create a new account with a new username/email for the other person. 

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you should be able to 

• Click File in the top left menu bar (Black bar)
• Select New Tax Return.
• Make sure you save the first return with a unique name using File, then Save As to avoid overwriting it.
