Im adding someone else as a dependent but my refund dont change if i add or take her off, why is that?

You do not get a refund for a dependent. You get a $4050 exemption which lowers the amount of your income that you are taxed on. If the dependent is not a child, you do not get any of the age-related refundable credits like Additional Tax Credit or earned income credit.

You might be already getting back all that you can and more dependents and deductions won't change it..
