I have a capital loss from 2018. I am currently not employed and do not have any income to file for. Do I still need to file my capital loss with no income?

Yes, this is the only way to preserve it and carry it forward for future years.

If you want to carry it forward, at some point you will have to or you will lose it. You are not required to file, though.
