It's been stuck determining my best options for filing for a long time

If you think it is taking an unusually long time to move on, save and sign out of the account by clicking on My Accounts at the top of the screen.

clear your cookies and cache, restart your browser, Sign in to your account , select continue working on your return, then select to pick up where you left off.
