I owe $46 to the state. How do I pay that?
IF you Owe State taxes, you should have 3 options with which to pay.
- Check
- Credit Card
-
Direct Debit from your checking account
This happens in Step 2 of your Filing process.
Click
- File
-
Step 2
- Revisit
Follow the steps to select and complete your payment method.
If you Select Pay by check, a payment voucher will be generated to mail with your check.
This will print at the end or your State Return.
Keep in mind that you are not required to pay when you file your taxes.
Payment is not required until April 18th this year.
I hope this helps

I already filed. And already received my federal. What I owe the state was not automatically taken out the federal like I assumed it would. So now that my filing is complete and I already have my federal. How do I pay the State what I owe?

I assume you chose to have your fees taken from your Federal Refund. This option only covers your Fees to prepare. It looks like you used Federal Free Edition, this means that you were able to file for Free, unless you added Plus Benefits ($29.99). Have you printed a copy of your state with all of the forms and worksheets to a PDF file?
