If you make roughly 14,000 a year and have no dependents and are single what should you get back?

The first $13,800 of income is not taxable for income tax purposes, as noted in ee-ea's earlier reply. 

  • If you have a small amount above that it will be taxed at 10%.
  • If you only have one source of income, you should look at your W-2.
    • Box 2 is your income tax withholding.  
      • You should be getting most, if not all of that back.
    • Boxes 4 and 6 are for Social Security and Medicare.  
      • You will not be getting any of that back.

you are asking from live for which you paid extra ask your agent. This forum does not have access to your return or tax information. so there's no way for us to know.

If the W2 is under 13800 and you are filing as single you get all you r withholding back.
