what is a 1040 V?...do i need to file a 1040 V with my federal return?...if so, how do i obtain one ?

If you have a balance due on your federal return and you have e-filed, then a payment voucher, 1040V will print along with your mailing instructions. Please follow the print and mail instructions below that pertain to the type of software your using.
