If you don’t get your W-2 from your employer by February 14th, you should contact them and tell them you need it for your taxes (assuming you can). If you still don’t get your W-2, go ahead and contact the IRS to tell them your employer didn't send it. You may call the IRS toll free at 800-829-1040
If you’ve attempted to obtain your W-2 and are unsuccessful, you can file using a substitute Form W-2, Form 4852.
