If you did not have income from working you will not be eligible for refundable child-related credits like the child tax credit or earned income credit. The rules for the child tax credit were different for tax year 2021, but for 2022, you will not get the refundable additional child tax credit if you did not work. Can someone else claim you and/or your children as dependents?
@cbgirl2016 - you would not be eligible for the non-refundable child tax credit either - that requires a tax liability to be eligible and if you did not work, you would not have one.
