I moved to America late March as a permanent resident from Australia. Where do I enter this information to show why I do not have W-2 or health coverage for Jan - March?

If you came to this country to live for the first time in March of 2018, you will not be penalized for January- March. To enter your information so you are exempt from the penalty take the following steps in TurboTax:

• Click Federal
• Click Health Insurance
• Select I'll pick and choose which months
• Click Continue
• Select the Months you had insurance and click continue
• Select Resident of a foreign country or US territory
• Click Continue
• You will get a message saying your penalty has been waived for those months you were not a resident.
