What should I do if my tax return was rejected from last year?
If you attempted to e-file your 2017 tax return last year and it was rejected, you can't e-file it now. You have no choice but to print, sign and mail it to the IRS. The IRS says you can not e-file a prior year return, so that's why.

What should I do if my tax return was rejected from last year?
And if your 2017 return never got filed then enter 0 for the AGI to efile 2018.
