If my return is rejected because my (filing married but separate) husband was claimed by his mother, how do I fix my return forms to have them accepted?

Sign in and click on My Info on the left menu.  Scroll down to your spouse's name and click on Edit.  Then scroll down and select YES to question #3 and then YES again (This person will claim my spouse).  Then re-submit your tax return.  See image.

Or if you are claiming him on the joint return, you will need to print and mail it.  Choose the File by Mail option.
