If my property management company paid for my advertisement costs (but I'm sure they pass that cost on to me in their fees) how do I account for that?

If you did not pay the advertising fees, you cannot deduct them. You can deduct the property management fees as a rental expense. (if they pass on the advertising costs to you in the fees, you would have indirectly deducted the advertising costs by deducting the management fees).
