Since she is age 19 or older, not a full time student and her gross income in 2022 is $4,400 or more, you cannot claim her as a dependent under the Qualifying Relative rules.
To be a Qualifying Relative -
1. The person cannot be your qualifying child or the qualifying child of any other taxpayer. A child is not the qualifying child of any other taxpayer if the child's parent (or any other person for whom the child is defined as a qualifying child) is not required to file an income tax return or files an income tax return only to get a refund on income tax withheld.
2. The person either (a) must be related to you or (b) must live with you all year as a member of your household.
3. The person's gross income for the year must be less than $4,400 (social security does not count) in 2022
4. You must provide more than half of the person's total support for the year.
5. The person must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S., Canada, or Mexico resident for some part of the year.
6. The person must not file a joint return with their spouse.
How much less than 5,000? Was it less than 4,400? If less than 4,400 you can still claim her. If more than 4,400 see post above.
If less than $4,400. You don't include their income on your return. It would only go on their return if they are required to file one. To file a separate return for your dependent you need to set up a new account. Online is only good for one return per account. You can use the same email address for 5 accounts. Be sure on their return they check the box that says they can be claimed on someone else’s return. If their only income is W2 and under 12,950 they do not have to file a return except to get back any withholding taken out.
