If my child was in school in Canada how do I report on how many months not in the USA in usa

Is child attending college in Canada? Does child intend to remain in CA, or come home for breaks?

She is coming home during the xmas break and throughout the summer

If your daughter is only in Canada for purposes of college, she is considered to still live at home - in the US for 12 months a year.
