If I was divorced in late December could I still file jointly if we both agree since we were married most of the year?

If you were not legally married on December 31, you may not file Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately.

Start with a filing status of "Single." If you have a qualifying dependent, you may be able to file Head of Household. TurboTax will help you determine the best filing status for your situation.
