If I receive a PIN one year, will I always receive one or is it a one time thing?

I haven't received a PIN this year but I did last year so I want to make sure before filing and getting rejected

Do you mean a six digit PIN from the IRS to prevent identity theft?  You will get a new one every year

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file.  Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.

If you received a 6 digit Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) from the IRS for tax year 2022, you will receive a new IP PIN for each tax year from the IRS.
