Sorry you can't apply the Desktop purchase to the online version. They are separate things and don't talk or sync to each other. You can move your online return to the Desktop program without paying for online so you don't need to start over.
Did you install the program on your computer?
You are posting from online Deluxe---so did you use the wrong software? The license code for the desktop software you purchased at Sam's is only for desktop (CD/download) TurboTax. We are seeing some users who do not understand that, and they use online by mistake. The license cannot be used for online software. You have to download the desktop software you paid for, update it and open the program from your own computer to use it for your tax return.
