Not if that is your only income. If you had tax withheld you would want to file for the refund. You also may be eligible for earned income credit.

That is for W-2 income. If it was 1099-MISC or self-employed income then you must file if over $400 - not to pay income tax, but to pay the SE (self-employed tax).
