If i have a forebearance on my student loan from NELNET and still have a balance due at the end of the year, will my tax refund be affected?

for example, if I had a $10,000 student loan in good standing, paid $1000 towards the loan during the year and had forebearance for 3 months at the end of the year, but, still had a balance of $9,000 at the end of the year, would my tax refund be affected due to the fact I still have a balance on the loan?

Generally, no.  If you are in a forbearance and your student loan is not delinquent your student loan should not have any effect on your tax refund.
