It depends but if you do not have any business expense to claim against your 1099-MISC income, then you will be OK in using TurboTax Deluxe. However, if you want to claim the most amount of expenses that you can related to your self-employment income, you will want to use TurboTax Self-Employed.
Just remember that having a full time job as an employee, does not mean that you cannot also consider yourself as self-employed (and claim expenses relating to your self-employment income). As long as your self-employment expenses do no relate directly to your W-2 income, you will still be able to claim these self-employment expense on a separate Schedule C.
You would be able to claim any ordinary and necessary business expense that relate to your self-employment home business. This can include such things as any unreimbursed business miles driven to a client or work location, home office expense if you uses a part of your home exclusively for your job and supplies or equipment used in your work to name just a few.
