if you were married on 12/31/2022 your only choices are married filing separately or jointly. jointly is usually the best option.
Q. My husband works and stays in another state can I file head of household?
A. Only if you spent your honeymoon alone.
There is a provision for a married person to file as HoH; but only if they lived apart the entire 2nd half of the year. You would still have to have a qualifying dependent (usually your child) to claim HoH and your spouse would have to file as MFS (unless he has a dependent of his own qualifying him for HoH too).
As others have said, it's almost certain that you should file as MFJ (Married Filing Jointly)
